Frequently Asked
Questions

Employers and insurers choose our women’s health add-ons for the following reasons:

Greater Choice and Flexibility: Our women’s health add-ons provide access to a wider network of specialists beyond those covered as part of standard networks, especially the “lite” network associated with the Essential Benefits Plan. This enhanced network allows your employees to choose the doctor they prefer, potentially leading to better care and faster diagnoses.

Personalised Care: The person-centered approach of our women’s health add-ons means that employees are able to access care that is better suited to their lifestyle and responsibilities, as well as to things like care coordination, where a dedicated professional helps them to navigate their health journey. This can be invaluable for those managing chronic conditions or complex medical situations.

Tech-powered Convenience: Our women’s health add-ons offer access to the NABTA mobile app for appointment booking, health record management, and support with claims denials. This saves your employees time, reduces their stress levels, improves their concentration, and simplifies healthcare administration.

Preventive Focus: Our women’s health add-ons put a strong emphasis on preventive care and using dietary and lifestyle choices to address pre-existing conditions. They also offer enhanced access such as telehealth consultations and annual, multi-specialty health checks. This proactive approach helps identify health issues early and keeps your employees healthier in the long run, which in turn contributes positively to workforce engagement and productivity.

Cost Management: While there’s an additional cost associated with any add-on, our women’s health add-ons offer benefits like significant discounts on interventions, and assurance about the quality and capabilities of practitioners. The add-ons also provide coverage for treatments often excluded from insurance premiums, and the Essential Benefits Plan in particular, such as the removal of polyps, cysts and fibroids. The ability to access essential medical interventions in a timely and cost-effective manner offers significant benefits to your employees, and will also reduce the likelihood of your insurance premiums increasing at the time of renewal.

In short, our multi-specialty, person-centered, technology-enabled women’s health add-ons can give your employees more control over their healthcare experience, and allow you as an employer to take positive and proactive steps to enhancing their health and wellbeing in and outside of the workplace.

Recommended for: employees earning less than AED 4,000/month and insured under the Essential Benefits Plan.

We approach health holistically from a 360 degree perspective. Although our research and development has historically focused on reducing the time and cost of diagnosing specific chronic diseases, such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) or Gestational Diabetes, our care delivery mechanisms – which orient a multi-specialty care team around a woman and her goals – are designed to support women of all ages, stages and goals. The World Health Organisation (WHO) does not define health as the absence of disease only, but rather as a complete state of physical, mental, emotional and societal wellbeing. This is what we strive to achieve for NABTA members.

We help women with specific health goals or pain points manage their health effectively at every age and stage. Recently, Deloitte reported that women’s healthcare expenditure exceeds male counterparts’ by $15 billion annually. Generally, women require additional care and a personalised approach, particularly in regards to chronic and complex diseases. From puberty to menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause, women’s health is multifaceted. Pinning diseases to the woman and treating the woman, instead of approaching healthcare using an (acute) disease-centric approach of the early 1900s, enables women take control of their wellbeing and lower the impact on their personal and professional lives.

Joining our network of providers means a few things:

  • Agreeing to provide exclusive discounts (up to 40%) on all cash payments to NABTA members.
  • Incorporating practitioners with availability – doctors and AHPs – into our multi-specialty care teams.
  • Being compensated for up to 70% of the list price for all consultations and procedures completed by those practitioners.

No, we are a value-based company, meaning we never take or give referral fees or kickbacks on any consultations, procedures or prescriptions. We compensate the providers in our network fairly, up to 70% of the list price, with all partner-provided services invoiced for at the end of each month, with payment by the 25th day of the following month.
